"MITT-2026": Uzbekistan Showcases the Multifaceted Tourism Potential of the Country in Moscow!"

From March 11 to 13, the capital of Russia hosted the 32-nd International Tourism and Hospitality Exhibition "MITT-2026" at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center. This professional platform for addressing business challenges in the tourism and hospitality industry annually gathers the largest B2B communities of tourism experts and hospitality industry professionals.

The prestigious international exhibition hosted 3,807 delegates, including major companies and firms specializing in tourism, gastronomy, logistics, travel technology, as well as international experts from Oman, Turkey, Venezuela, Cuba, Jordan, Algeria, Malaysia, China, Armenia, Tunisia, and Azerbaijan.

The event also featured a delegation from Uzbekistan, including representatives from the Republic of Karakalpakstan. At the national stand of Uzbekistan, organized with the support of the Tourism Committee and the embassy of our country in Moscow, tourism companies showcased the opportunities that our nation offers in the tourism sector. Today, Uzbekistan is shaping a multifaceted tourism economy that goes beyond traditional cultural and educational tourism. Among the actively developing areas are gastronomic, event, medical, and wellness tourism, as well as eco-routes and modern urban tourism.

Every year, the International Tourism Exhibition in Moscow is accompanied by a rich business program that includes educational seminars, forums, and thematic conferences. On March 11, the delegation from Uzbekistan participated in a strategic session titled "Russia — Uzbekistan: New Horizons of Tourism Cooperation", which focused on strengthening Russian-Uzbek ties in the tourism sector. During this significant event, S.Tadjiev, the Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, delivered a presentation on the strategy for transforming the country's tourism industry, as well as new formats for bilateral cooperation.

The delegation from Karakalpakstan, led by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee, B. Kusekeev, became an integral part of the dynamic ecosystem that fosters the development of the tourism sector in Uzbekistan as a whole and in the Republic of Karakalpakstan in particular.

Participants at "MITT-2026" showcased their achievements and capabilities, creating an atmosphere conducive to the exchange of experiences. Leading specialists, representatives from tourism companies and government bodies, travel agents, tour operators, hoteliers, glampers, IT solution developers for the tourism industry, and other key players in the tourism and hospitality sector actively participated in the discussions.

Representatives of tourism companies from Karakalpakstan, participating in the exhibition, engaged in fruitful B2B negotiations with foreign partners aimed at further expanding international cooperation and increasing tourist flow.
