Today, MATTA has more than 2,900 member organizations, including local tourism organizations and many branches abroad. It is also the national representative body of the tourism industry of the entire country.
The goal of MATTA is to promote the interests of the travel and tourism industry in Malaysia. In close cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia and the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, MATTA assists in organizing fairs, seminars, congresses, and master classes to raise public awareness of the tourism industry and benefit its members.
