The Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the active support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China, continues to implement large-scale events within the framework of the "Year of Tourism in Uzbekistan in China," aimed at promoting the rich tourist potential of our country.
One of the highlights was Uzbekistan's participation in ITE Hong Kong 2025 (International Travel Expo), held from June 12 to June 15 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The Uzbekistan booth became a true gem of the exhibition. It showcased the country's rich cultural heritage, traditional crafts, and modern tourist routes that reflect the diversity and uniqueness of Uzbekistan's tourism potential.
The exhibition was attended by representatives of travel agencies, airlines, investors, and media from Asia and around the world. The Uzbekistan booth attracted considerable interest due to its engaging presentation, traditional music, and vibrant atmosphere that conveyed the spirit of Eastern hospitality.
As part of the event, business meetings and negotiations were held with international partners. Notably, a meeting was organized with the Chairman of the Committee for Culture and Tourism of Hong Kong, where the prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding tourism exchange between Uzbekistan and Hong Kong were discussed.
At the International Travel Expo "ITE Hong Kong," along with the Road-show organized from June 16 to 20 in Macau, Fuzhou, Wuhan, and Shenzhen, Uzbekistan showcased its extensive tourism potential, including historic and cultural landmarks, as well as national traditions and customs.
Representatives from tourism organizations and tour operators from Tashkent, Tashkent region, Khorezm region, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan presented tailored presentations aimed at demonstrating Uzbekistan's tourism potential, expanding international cooperation, increasing tourist inflow, and developing tourism infrastructure.
To increase the flow of tourists from China to Uzbekistan, B2B sessions were organized during the Road-show for leading representatives of the tourism business, which opened unique opportunities for expanding business connections and establishing new partnerships.
During the meetings, promising avenues for cooperation in tourism were discussed, and agreements were reached to develop specific mechanisms for joint work in tourism, cultural exchange, and investment projects. Additionally, issues related to establishing delegation exchanges and mutual participation in tourism initiatives were considered.
